Terms of service

Åkerlundinkatu 8, Tampere – Platform6 community space, 5th floor – Tribe Tampere

This agreement is made between Tribe Tampere ry and Skedda User, and the person/organisation using the Platform6 5th floor community space at the booked time. (Skedda is the venue booking software we use)

Tribe Tampere premises can only be booked for events and meetings that are related to entrepreneurship.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Please act responsibly and note that you are not only responsible for yourself but also for the ones you let into the premises. During the reservation, follow the house rules and code of conduct of P6. Before leaving the premises, make sure that the following things are done.

  • Used spaces, meaning the work areas, kitchen, and sauna are in the same or better condition than when you entered.
    • Used surfaces are wiped, and the biggest crumbs from the floor are removed.
    • If using washable kitchen supplies, fill in and turn on the dishwasher. Don’t leave anything ‘waiting on the table’ but use the dish brush and soap provided if needed.
  • All personal belongings are removed
    • Including empty cans and bottles not fitting in the resigned bin!
    • Other trash is in the bins or neatly in separate garbage bags
  • Lights are turned off
  • The balcony door and 5th-floor entrance door are fully closed
  • If something breaks or something worth mentioning occurs, inform community(at)tribetampere.com

There may be a charge for breaking this contract. More detailed information is later in the text.

Remember that the house residents and people with a key (Tribe Fellows and partners) always have access and the right to visit the space. This means that someone might stop by for a coffee, etc., during your event. If necessary, you can ask them to be considerate (keeping the volume down, etc.).

ACCESSING THE SPACE OUTSIDE THE OFFICE HOURS

Platform6 front door and the 5th-floor community space door are locked outside office hours, meaning outside 9:00-17:00. No matter the time of reservation, you are responsible for the reserved premises and expected to be aware of the necessary precautions on using it (emergency exits, fire extinguishing equipment, first-aid packages, etc.).

NOTE! If you are not a Platform6 member, Tribe Tampere Fellow, or -partner and want to use the space outside of office hours, you have to negotiate about it separately with the Tribe staff. In these cases, the assumption is that a Tribe employee will be involved to assist, and the work will be invoiced accordingly.

IN CASE OF LOSING THE KEY
If you lose your key, you shall report about it to the personnel immediately in order to cancel the access rights for that key: community(at)tribetampere.com

IN CASE OF DAMAGES, MALFUNCTIONING OR VIOLATIONS

The space reserver will be liable for any physical damages, legal actions, and/or loss of reputation or business opportunities that Tribe Tampere Ry may incur as a consequence of the actions of the reserver or any guests while the reserver is in control of the venue. The reserver shall indemnify and hold harmless the Tribe Tampere Ry against any and all legal actions that may arise from the reserver’s use of the venue.

Damages and security cases are assessed after the event therefore, the final bill will include any additional charges for actual damages done to the venue by the reserver or their associates, as well as possible compensation for the hours used to fix the challenge.

Tribe Tampere has the right to suspend the event and remove your access rights at any time if any violations of the law, these general rules, the code of conduct of P6, or common sense are suspected.

OPEN, CLOSED, OR COMPLETELY CLOSED EVENT?

Open Event, means that the space is open during the event and people can freely join to the event without payment. This also means that people can have their lunch and coffee breaks around the community space as they normally would.

Closed Event, means that the event is private, and organizer can determine the participants. (Organizer can request nominal compensation from the event participant.) The space will still be open for house residents for kitchen and basic use.

5th floor completely closed. In principle, our community facilities are always open to community members.

NOTE! There is 24/7 camera surveillance on the premises of Tribe Tampere
